Weekend Plans

Well, we have a big weekend planned. My sisters, Mary and Julie, have joined Becca and I in a trip to Houston to visit my lil' sis, Lisa. She's in medical school and couldn't get away for her long weekend, so we obliged :-) and came to her. We came in late Friday night and stayed up talking, watching online videos, and planning our day and a half in H-town. Today we have lots planned, but I won't ruin the surprise. Look for photos later!! My camera is acting up, so we are using Julie's, however, she forgot to bring her computer connector cord, so I'll have to get the pics from her later.... For now, here are some more pictures of the last few months...

First......From New York.....

Grandma is back in Bradford. She is doing better, now that she is in familiar suroundings. Here she is now with her new puppy. She loves animals so much that we decided to get her a stuffed one following her surgery. She loves it!
Grandma and Grandpa Carls
Mom, Grandma, and my Aunt Ginny
"Goldie"
The climbing tree behind my grandparent's house. The swing we put up this summer. What fun!

Even with the light snow, my mom just loved cleaning off the car before driving.
Looking out over the hill at my grandparent's house. The fenced in area is where Terry trains her horses. Past that is the blueberry hill. During the summer, this is all so green. It's been many years since I've seen it in the winter, covered in white. So beautiful.

Look at how much taller the tree appears to be in the winter. This has been the setting for so many memories. With many more to come....

Update

My grandmother is stable. She is in recovery and will probably still be there through the weekend until she is able to return to the nursing home. I'm going back to see her in the morning. In the meantime, I'm beat...it's time for bed. More later...

License to Wed

Signing the license. Don't know what that shadow was...Putting the ring on my finger. Looking into my eyes...doesn't get any better than that. Well... Making it official...
Posing with the judge. Loved the glasses. :-)
He's lecturing us about being good spouses for one another. To bad he then gave me an out...He said if Antonio ever went back on his word, I could come back with my signed marriage license as proof that he had promised to be nice to me. :-) Just kidding. The guy was a "trip" though, entertaining....

I now pronounce you...

Celebrating after the ceremony.
I now pronounce you...
...husband and wife!
Awwww :-)

Wedding Ceremony

Mom talks with the two of us before the ceremony. At this point, I think she's just trying to calm me down. The justice of the peace got the time wrong!! Or "actually", his secretary mistakenly told him a half hour later than the time we were scheduled. Nothing like having the celebrant late for the ceremony. We waited outside in the heat for 10 minutes before I was "sent" to the car. Luckily I sat with Lisa and Julie and they were the voices of reason until the guy showed up. My sisters kept me calm and reasonable until we were ready to go in for the ceremony. My mom was right in thinking I was getting nervous being up in front of everyone while we waited for the justice to come back in the room. So, she just came up and began talking to us about random things. It kept me calm. Soon it was time to begin.

Our first kiss as husband and wife.

LIFE

I know, I know it's been awhile. Life....just happens sometimes. Which is how I now have time to post...My grandmother is having surgery this morning in NY. My mom and I flew into Buffalo, NY yesterday. As I am waiting to hear an update, I needed something to do, so I'm spending some time on the computer, uploading photos, etc. Let's hope I can remotely access everything I need. Nervous energy, I guess. I have to be doing something.
